Common questions
I cannot find Bareshot in the share sheet.
In Photos, select your photos and tap the Share button. Swipe the row of apps to the end and tap More. Find Bareshot in the list and turn it on. Tap Edit there to add it to Favorites so it always shows.
How many photos can I clean at once?
In the Bareshot app, up to 100 chosen photos and videos at a time, or a whole album. From the Photos share sheet, up to 20 items at a time, with videos up to 2 minutes.
Does Bareshot change my original photos?
No. It makes clean copies. Your originals stay untouched unless you turn on Delete originals afterwards when cleaning an album. That option is off by default and warns you before it does anything.
I deleted my originals by mistake.
Open Photos, go to Albums, then Recently Deleted (you may need Face ID). Deleted items stay there for 30 days. Select them and tap Recover. After 30 days they cannot be recovered.
Why was a photo skipped?
Bareshot skips photos that have nothing to remove with your current switches, so you do not end up with duplicates. The finish screen tells you how many were skipped.
Why are my Live Photos saved as still photos?
A clean copy of a Live Photo is a still image. Live Photos, edited, Portrait, RAW, slow-motion, time-lapse and Cinematic items are never deleted as originals, because a copy cannot hold everything in them.
Does Bareshot upload my photos?
No. Everything happens on your phone. See the privacy policy.
